Wild & Whimsical Animal Portrait Paint by Number Kits

Difficulty: Beginner to Intermediate

Find the One That Makes You Smile

A little wild, a little wonderful, and full of personality. This collection brings together animal portraits ranging from peaceful and majestic to colorful and delightfully unexpected. Paint a quiet woodland deer, a regal lion, a brilliant dragon, a beloved dog—or choose the Highland cow peeking out of a flower-filled bathtub.

Each design has a personality all its own. Choose the one that speaks to you and enjoy watching it emerge from the canvas, one numbered section at a time.

You don't need to be an experienced artist to create something beautiful. Simply match the numbered areas on the canvas with their corresponding acrylic paint colors and work through your painting at your own pace.

About This Collection

These designs put the animal front and center, making them especially fun for animal lovers.

Some designs feature soft, natural colors and traditional portrait styling, while others use brilliant color, imaginative settings, and a little humor.

Because the amount of detail varies from design to design, some paintings may take a little more patience than others.

What's Included

Each selection is a complete DIY paint-by-number project featuring a pre-numbered linen canvas and coordinating acrylic paints.

Kit contents, available sizes, and canvas options may vary by design. Please review the options shown when selecting your artwork.

Canvas Options

Some designs in this collection may be available with wooden stretcher bars.

When offered:

Canvas Only
Your numbered canvas is supplied without a wooden support frame.

Canvas + Stretcher Bars
Includes wooden stretcher bars used to stretch and support the canvas for display.

Please note: Stretcher bars are the wooden support structure behind the canvas. They are not a decorative outer picture frame.

How It Works

Choose a numbered section on your canvas and locate the acrylic paint with the corresponding number.

Paint the matching area and continue through the design one section at a time.

There's no need to know how to draw the animal yourself—the composition and numbered painting areas are already there to guide you.

Paint for twenty minutes, spend a quiet evening creating, or make it your weekend project. There's no deadline.

Just keep painting and enjoy watching your animal develop its personality with every brushstroke.

Shipping & Delivery

Orders are typically prepared for shipment quickly, with many leaving the supplier within 1–3 business days.

For U.S. destinations, please allow approximately 8–18 business days after processing for delivery.

Because our kits may ship directly from our fulfillment partners, delivery times can vary by product, destination, carrier, customs, weather, holidays, and other circumstances outside our control.

Tracking information will be provided when available.

Ordering for a birthday, holiday, or special occasion? We recommend ordering early to allow extra time for unexpected carrier delays.

Good to Know Before You Begin

Your kit arrives as an unfinished DIY painting project. The completed artwork shown in the listing is a reference for the painting you'll create.

Cover your work surface before beginning, keep acrylic paint containers closed when you're not using them, and rinse your brushes between colors.

Detailed areas can be easier to paint when you work slowly and use a smaller brush.

Most importantly, don't worry about creating a perfect painting.

Choose the animal you love and enjoy bringing it to life.
